I just finished my very first quilt ever!! I won an awesome charm pack from skye reve fabrics called a walk in the woods, which is kind of gender neutral but i think its a bit too girly for my manly son lol so i backed it with some pink minky ish fabric!! But the only thing is that apparently your suposed to "quilt" the back fabric too, which i was unaware of... so i put the decorative stiching on the front and then added the back... whatever its my own style! and now you will be drowned with pictures!!!!!!
And thats my quilt! I am so excited about it!!
<3 and thanks to skye reve fabrics for the fabric!
So i guess im a little greener (or crunchier) then the average person... I cloth diaper, i breastfeed, Im a crazy person about recycling, i use the diva cup and mama cloth, i dont use paper towels or napkins, i use as little amount of chemicals as possible in my home, I make my own laundry detergent which cuts the ingredients and the plastic bottle.
And the newest craze is apparently "no-poo" aka home made shampoo. Im going to try it! It is baking soda for shampoo and vinegar for conditioner. from what ive read about it, your body produces ALOT more oil when you strip all of the oil from your hair, so using the baking soda it will wash the dirt from your hair but it will not strip the oils from your hair so your body wont have to replace the oils, I also read it might take a week or more for your body to regulate to not over producing the oil but once the Ph of your scalp is balanced your good to go!
I have been reading a bunch of blogs about it and i found this one very helpful!! Ill update soon :) Wish me luck!!!!
